Our Mission is to foster natural curiosity and provide opportunities to engage in and interact with the world of science.  Our Goal is to dispel the myth that science is too hard to understand or something to be feared. We want to support the natural curiosity of children and re-kindle it in adults through interactive, hands-on classes and workshops.  We want to provide facilities for older children and adults to study science in more depth than is typically available in a non-college setting.

 

Dr. Cindy Schreier is an environmental chemist and mother of two with a long standing passion for teaching science.  She has designed and taught several hands-on science experiments for her kids’ classes, Girl Scouts, school open houses and science nights, community outreach, and corporate events.  She is especially interested in understanding the world around us and making  concepts of science accessible to everyone.  

 

Dr. Schreier received her B.S. in Chemistry from UC Santa Cruz and her Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University.  She founded PRIMA Environmental in 1998 to provide high quality testing services to the environmental community.
